Old Dog Tags
Here is our collection of dog tags and licenses. The oldest dog tags we have found are 1907 Bridgeport Connecticut and a 1907 Huntington CT. The most recent dogtag was found by my wife. She was driving by the Derby Green in CT and saw that they were starting to remodel it. She stopped to ask permission to metal detect and they said, Sure, but there has already been 2 people here metal detecting and they covered the whole area!
She went ahead and spent a couple of hours, and didn't find anything except some clad and this Westport dogtag in an area by the oldest tree in the park. Those 2 detectorists told the construction workers that they were goldminers from California. Hmmm...
